a Selects a preset channel
Storing broadcast frequencies
With a tap of any of the preset tuning keys (1
to 6), you can easily store up to six broadcast
frequencies for later recall (also with the tap of
a key).
1 Select a frequency that you want to
store in memory.
2 Keep touching a preset tuning key [1]
to [6].
Preset tuning keys
The selected radio station has been stored in
memory.
The next time you tap the same preset tuning
key 1 to 6, the radio station frequencies are
recalled from memory.
p Up to 18 FM stations, six for each of the
three FM bands, as well as six MW/LW sta-
tions, can be stored in memory.
Using advanced functions
Storing the strongest broadcast
frequencies
BSM (best stations memory) lets you automa-
tically store the six strongest broadcast fre-
quencies under the preset tuning keys 1 to
6 and, once stored there, you can tune into
them with the touch of a key.
p Storing broadcast frequencies with BSM
may replace broadcast frequencies you
have already saved.
1 Tap [BSM].
2 Tap [OK] to begin a search.
The
appears. The six strongest broadcast
frequencies will be stored under the preset
tuning keys 1 to 6.
p If no frequencies is found, the stays on.
In that case, tap [CANCEL] to cancel the
storage process.
Searching for an RDS station by
PTY information
You can search for general types of broadcast-
ing programmes.

The PTY list screen appears.
2 Tap the item you want.
There are four programme types:
News and Information Popular
Classics Others
3 Tap desired programme type to begin a
search.
The tuner searches for a station broadcasting
that programme type.
# If you tap [CANCEL], the search is cancelled.
p The programmes of some stations may dif-
fer from that indicated by the transmitted
PTY.
p If no PTY programme you searched for is
found, reception of the current frequency
resumes.
