Listening to the

radio

The following steps show you how to tune

in to FM and AM radio broadcasts using

the automatic (search) and manual (step)

tuning functions. Once you are tuned to a

station you can memorize the frequency

for recall later—see Saving station

presets on page 48 for more on how to do

this.

1 Press TUN.

Alternatively, press FUNCTION on the

front panel to select Tuner.

2 Press BAND to select the FM or

AM band.

Each press switches the band between FM

and AM.

3 Tune to a station.

There are three ways to do this:

• Automatic tuning

To search for stations in the currently

selected band, press and hold either the

FQ+ or FQ– button for about a second.

The system will start searching for the next

station, stopping when it has found one.

Repeat this step to search for other

stations.

• Manual tuning

To change the frequency one step at a

time, press the FQ + / FQ– buttons.

• High speed tuning

Press and hold the FQ+ or FQ– button

for high speed tuning, releasing the button

once you reach the frequency you want.

Improving FM stereo

sound

If you’re listening to a stereo FM broadcast,

but find that there is a lot of noise because

of a weak signal, try switching to mono.

• Press MONO to switch between

mono and stereo.

When listening in mono, the indicator

lights in the display.

sélectionner la bande FM ou

FM et AM.

3 Accordez une station.

Il y a trois manière de le faire :

• Accord automatique

Pour rechercher des stations sur la bande

actuellement sélectionnée, appuyez et

maintenez enfoncée soit la touche FQ+

ou FQ– pendant environ une seconde. La

chaîne démarrera la recherche de la

station suivante, en s’arrêtant quand elle

en aura trouvé une. Répétez cette opération

pour rechercher d’autres stations.

• Accord manuel

Pour changer la fréquence un pas à la fois,

appuyez sur les touches FQ+ / FQ–.

• Accord haute vitesse

Appuyez et maintenez enfoncée la touche

FQ+ ou FQ– pour accorder à haute

vitesse, en relâchant la touche une fois

atteinte la fréquence souhaitée.

Amélioration du son FM

stéréo

Si vous écoutez une émission FM stéréo,

mais vous trouvez qu’il y a beaucoup de

parasites à cause du signal qui est faible,

essayez de passer en mono.

• Appuyez sur MONO pour

passer parmi mono et stéréo.

À l’écoute en mono, l’indicateur

s’allume dans l’afficheur.
