6 Setting a Route to Your Destination
This section describes various ways to
search for a destination, edit the current
route conditions and operate the route dur-
ing route guidance.
7 Registering and Editing Locations
You can register and edit the points on the
map. This chapter describes how to register
a home location, favorite location or other
location, and how to edit the entry in Ad-
dress Book.
8 Using Traffic Information
When Pioneer XM satellite radio tuner (GEX-
P10XMT) is connected to the navigation sys-
tem, the system can acquire traffic informa-
tion and perform navigation using the traffic
information. This chapter describes ways of
viewing traffic icons that are displayed on
the map and operation related traffic infor-
mation.
9 Using XM Tuner and Other Information
When Pioneer XM satellite radio tuner (GEX-
P10XMT) is connected to the navigation sys-
tem, variety of information other than traffic
can be acquired. The navigation system can
also register emergency information. This
chapter describes ways of the information
acquired with XM satellite radio, registration
of emergency information.

When you are using a cellular phone featur-
ing Bluetooth

technology by connecting
the Bluetooth unit (sold separately) to the
navigation system, you can operate your cel-
lular phone hands-free. This chapter de-
scribes the operations related to hands-free
phoning.
b Modifying the General Settings for Na-
vigation Functions
The behavior of your navigation system de-
pends a number of general settings for navi-
gation functions. If you need to change any
of the initial settings (default settings), read
the relevant section of this chapter.

and Radio)
This section describes how to use DVD-Vi-
deos, CDs, MP3, discs and the radio.

You can record a music CD to the hard disk
drive in the navigation system. This chapter
